These concentrated sessions provide handlers and their dogs immersive learning opportunities, hands-on practice and personalized feedback from experienced trainers. Whether preparing for competitive dog sports or addressing everyday life skills, Good As Gold's workshops offer an efficient path to support your training goals.
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
CKC Agility - Fun Match
Come run your dog on a Novice, Intermediate or Excellent/Master STANDARD course. This gives you the opportunity to reward your dog for success in the ring, increase your team’s confidence with equipment and trial environments. You will get to complete two, 90 second runs at your selected level.
Two to three days prior to the match, you will be sent an email requesting your team’s level and jump height. A schedule will be sent out the evening prior to the match.
Distractorpalooza
This workshop will focus on exposing your dog to all kinds of distractors, including food, toys, auditory and humans. Searches will be done in containers and interiors, with feedback provided after each search. The workshop will start with a short discussion about how to handle distractors in search areas. Teams should expect to get 5-6 searches in over the two hour period. Please bring your cell phone or recording device if you would like videos of your searches. A tripod will be available for use.
AAC/UKI Agility Coached Jumpers Runs
You can run your dog through a Jumpers course where coaching will be provided. Weaves are optional on the course. Three runs maximum per dog. Two course levels are setup.

Agility Trial Prep Workshop
Are you ready to enter your first agility trial? Join us for this hands-on workshop designed to prepare you and your dog for everything you don’t see in class. We’ll cover a) navigating ring entries with confidence, b) working through the visual distraction of pole setters, c) running without visible reinforcement, d) making the most of FEO (For Exhibition Only) runs, e) and much more! Whether you’re gearing up for your debut or just want to sharpen your trial skills, this workshop will help you and your dog feel trial-ready and confident on the big day.
Weave Proofing Workshop
Struggling with missed entries? Popped poles? Sloppy footwork? This focused Weave Proofing Workshop will give you the tools to turn those poles into your team’s powerhouse obstacle — with distraction training, entry independence, and speed consistency at the core. Work on entry proofing from multiple angles and building speed with accuracy.
