Embrace your dog’s potential with our expert-led agility classes!  Our accomplished instructors share their tips for success and help build your team whether you want to compete in agility trials or simply want to have fun with your dog!   Our instructors have been involved in the sport for over 20 years; participating in both local and international competitions.

Designed to enable you to optionally take multiple classes at the same time, our modular program allows you to grow your dog’s skills for where you and your dog are at along your agility journey.

Sport Pup

This class is designed for individuals who are interested in competing in dog sports and is ideal for puppies and young dogs up to one year of age.  We will focus on key skills such as body awareness, reinforcement techniques, and engagement strategies.  Additionally, we will introduce impulse control games, confidence-building exercises, teach your dog how to settle calmly while other dogs are working, and more!  By the end of the class, you and your dog will have acquired a diverse set of skills that will help you progress to the next level in your dog sport journey!

Building Blocks

Do you love agility or think it’s the perfect sport for you and your dog?  This class is designed to provide essential foundation skills that will set you up for success!    You will work on body awareness exercises that are important for all agility dogs, helping them build the strength and coordination needed for the sport.  Through a variety of reinforcement techniques and engagement strategies, we will motivate your dog by boosting their speed, focus and drive.  Both dogs and handlers will develop a strong working relationship through fun and interactive training games.  Key skills covered include tunnel work, wing wraps, contact foundations, forward focus vs handler focus, and jump foundations.  This class is the perfect starting point to lay the groundwork for a successful agility journey!

Go With the Flow 1.0

This class is designed to strengthen the connection between handler and dog while working on small agility sequences, skills and drills.  Go With The Flow 1.0 focuses on obstacle commitment using jumps and tunnels only.  You will learn key techniques to develop both handler focus and obstacle focus, essential for smooth and effective agility runs.  Throughout the class, you will work on various handling skills such as front crosses, blind crosses, backside wraps and tight turns.  Additionally, forward and lateral sends to jumps will be introduced, helping to improve communication and timing between you and your dog.  Both individual and group work will be incorporated, allowing for personalized attention and team-building experiences.   This class provides the key fundamentals and sets the stage for future success!

Go With the Flow 2.0

Building on Go With The Flow 1.0, this class takes your agility training to the next level! You and your dog will gain confidence as you tackle longer sequences and refine your skills. New techniques such as rear crosses, backside slices, and threadle foundations for both tunnels and jumps will be introduced. These advanced skills will help improve your timing, handling, and communication, ensuring a smoother and more efficient agility run. The class includes both individual and group work, allowing for personalized attention and opportunities for teamwork.  This class helps you develop the skills needed for more advanced agility challenges!

Go With the Flow 3.0

This class integrates all the crosses and skills learned in previous levels, offering a comprehensive range of drills and exercises. New challenges such as obstacle layering, distance handling, and discriminations will be introduced to further enhance your agility skills. The primary focus will be on jumps and tunnels, though contact obstacles may be included in certain sequences. Each session will feature a variety of sequences, providing multiple handling options to improve timing, decision-making, and the overall connection between dog and handler.  This class continues the development your handling of advanced agility challenges!

Hello Yellow 1.0

This class is designed to teach your dog the foundational skills for the A-Frame, Dogwalk, and Teeter. Emphasis will be placed on developing both reliable stopped and running contacts, as well as building body awareness and confidence through proprioception exercises. Safety on the contacts is a top priority, and we will focus on preparing your dog for the challenges of each obstacle. During the class, dogs will work on lowered contacts and planks to build strength and coordination. This is a progressive course intended to be taken multiple times, with both individual and group work to ensure personalized attention and effective learning. This class provides the key fundamentals and sets the stage for future success with contacts!

Hello Yellow 2.0

This class focuses on refining your dog's contact skills by incorporating them into small sequences, with an emphasis on handling techniques and proofing. Dogs will gradually work up to full-height contacts as they build confidence and precision. The class includes both individual and group work, allowing for personalized guidance while also fostering teamwork and practice in a group setting. This progressive approach ensures your dog’s contact performance becomes reliable, even in more complex sequences. This class helps you develop the skills needed for more advanced contact challenges!

Dream Weavers 1.0

This class focuses on teaching your dog to weave using the 2 X 2 method and channels, starting with the basics and building a strong foundation from the ground up. Through this progressive approach, your dog will learn the essential weaving skills in a step-by-step manner. By the end of the session, the goal is for your dog to be weaving 6 to 12 poles reliably before progressing to the next level. This is a progressive class designed to be taken multiple times to ensure mastery of the weave poles and readiness for more advanced weaving techniques.  This class provides the key fundamentals and sets the stage for future success with weaves!

Age:  12 months+ for small breeds, 14-16 months+ for large breeds

Dream Weavers 2.0

This class focuses on refining your dog’s weaving skills by building strong entries and exits on 6 and 12 poles. We will work on improving your dog’s ability to enter and exit the weave poles with precision and speed, while also incorporating jumps and tunnels into the sequences. This class aims to enhance both the technical aspects of weaving and the flow of handling in more complex courses. It is designed to strengthen your dog’s weaving performance and handling in real-world agility scenarios.  This class helps you develop the skills needed for more advanced weave challenges!

 

Prerequisite:  Dream Weavers – 1.0 or a similar class

Age:  12 months+ for small breeds, 14-16 months+ for large breeds

Solid Startlines

Startlines are a critical element of an agility course, and a strong, confident startline can set the tone for the entire run. In this class, you and your dog will learn skills and games to build and maintain a solid startline routine. Whether you're working with a young dog just starting to build a startline or you're addressing a breakdown in your current routine, this class will provide the tools and strategies needed to improve focus, self-control, and reliability at the start of each run.

Contacts and Weaves

This class combines contact and weave skills into small, challenging sequences. Exercises will focus on proofing entries and exits, handling to and from obstacles, as well as working on discrimination and distance handling. The goal is to refine the precision and timing needed to navigate these obstacles in more complex scenarios. To ensure success in this class, dogs must have a solid understanding of all contact obstacles and be consistent with 6 weave poles. This class is designed to push both the dog and handler to the next level of agility performance!

 

Prerequisite:  Dogs must have 6 weaves reliably and a good understanding of contacts

Age:  12 months+

Go the Distance 1.0

This class teaches the skills required to have your dog work obstacles independently at a distance. It focuses on improving handling techniques for general coursework as well as competition gambles. Key skills covered include sending your dog laterally, forward sends, layering obstacles, and mastering directional turns. Jumps and tunnels will be used throughout the class to practice these skills in various sequences. The goal is to enhance your ability to handle your dog at a distance while maintaining clear communication, improving both training and competition performance.

Go the Distance 2.0

Go Big! This class is the next step after Go The Distance 1.0, designed to challenge both you and your dog with greater distances, longer sequences, and more complex discrimination work. This class will incorporate all agility equipment, pushing your dog's independence and responsiveness at a distance. While weave pole skills are recommended, modifications can be made for dogs still working on reliable weaves.  The focus will be on refining distance handling, increasing the difficulty of sequences, and improving your teamwork and timing in both training and competition settings.

Coursework 1.0

This class is your introduction to running full agility courses! We will focus on building larger sequences using all agility equipment, gradually working up to running a complete course. The first 4 weeks will concentrate on building these larger sequences while teaching you how to walk and plan a course tailored to your individual dog. In the last 2 weeks, we will focus on running full courses, applying all the skills learned. Additionally, this class will cover important ring procedures and startline routines to prepare you for competition. Dogs must have all contacts and a minimum of 6 consistent weave poles to join this class. 

 

Prerequisite:  Dogs should have 6 weaves reliably, a good understanding of contacts and confidence with jumps and tunnels.  Handlers and dogs should have a solid understating of basic handling crosses.

Coursework 2.0

This class is designed for teams who are already running full courses. The focus will be on tackling courses that incorporate a variety of skills and equipment, preparing you for coursework at the Starters/Advanced, Novice/Intermediate, and Beginner/Novice levels in multiple organizations. The class will challenge both the dog and handler with diverse course designs, helping refine handling techniques, improve timing, and build confidence in competition scenarios. This is an excellent opportunity to fine-tune your performance and prepare for real-world agility trials.

Coursework 3.0

This class is designed to prepare you for coursework at the Masters/Excellent, Senior/Champion, and International levels across multiple agility organizations. Each week, courses will incorporate a variety of skills and equipment, focusing on advanced handling techniques and complex sequences. The class will challenge both the dog and handler with higher-level obstacles, distance work, and strategic handling, helping refine your skills for top-tier competition. This class is ideal for teams aiming to excel in elite agility trials and competitions.
