KAMAL FERNANDEZ: 3-DAY OBEDIENCE WORKSHOP

KAMAL FERNANDEZ: 3-DAY OBEDIENCE WORKSHOP

Kamal Fernandez  is an international seminar presenter and top-level dog sports coach, who has been in the world of dogs and dog training for over 33 years.  His students have competed at the top levels in obedience venues, including world championships in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia!  Their amazing performances are a trademark of Kamal’s methods and are the embodiment of the dog / handler relationship.

Join us in Calgary, Alberta on November 15-16-17, 2024 for a 3-day obedience workshop with Kamal Fernandez.

Friday: Heeling

The teamwork between a dog and handler during heeling is a powerful demonstration of communication, engagement, focus and accuracy.  Kamal will walk you through his world-renowned methods for teaching heeling and help you elevate your dog’s performance to the pinnacle of your obedience journey.

Saturday: Fading Reinforcers and Ring Prep

Preparing your dog for competitive obedience requires careful planning and skill.  Your dog must be able to perform all the obedience exercises in the ring without reinforcements readily available.  Kamal will explore the principles of fading reinforcers and develop a plan for you and your dog’s ring experiences throughout all levels of obedience.

Sunday: Handler’s Choice

The seminar participants will provide details regarding current hurdles they are encountering in their training and Kamal will work with the participants in the specific areas they need assistance.  It will be very educational to watch Kamal help problem solve on a variety of topics!
