Canine Fitness Seminar

Join us in welcoming Bobbie Lyons back for another Canine Fitness Seminar! Bobbie has 2 full days planned focusing the prevention of common injuries. This will be followed by a limited number of private sessions on Day 3. These days combine lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, giving participants practical skills they can immediately apply to help their dogs move more freely, recover more efficiently, and maintain healthy movement throughout every stage of life.

Day 1: Psoas/Shoulder Injury Prevention

This session will provide an understanding how the shoulder, spine, core, pelvis, and hind limbs work together, why injuries rarely happen in isolation, and recognizing compensation patterns before they become injuries. We will then further explore shoulder health, common causes of shoulder injuries in sport/active dogs, early warning signs owners often miss and exercise that build shoulder strength safely. To wrap up the day we will move onto the psoas muscle and explain why the psoas is one of the most commonly injured muscles in active dogs, signs of psoas dysfunction, factors that increase injury risk and exercises that support psoas health.

Day 2: Canine Flexibility: Building Mobility Through Smart Movement

During Day 2 you'll learn how flexibility contributes to your dog's comfort, movement quality, and long-term performance. We'll discuss the difference between mobility and flexibility, when stretching is appropriate, and how to safely improve your dog's range of motion without compromising joint stability. Topics covered include: understanding the difference between flexibility, mobility, and stability; the role of flexibility in injury prevention and athletic performance;  when to use active stretching versus passive stretching; proper techniques for safely performing active and passive stretches; and common mistakes that can reduce effectiveness or increase injury risk.

Day 3: A Private Session with Bobbie

Join Bobbie for a private evaluation and fitness plan development for your dog! Contact us for further information.
